Be prepared for an emergency with our React Right Course!

React Right is SSI’s emergency first response course. It provides you with in-depth first aid training and knowledge to act as a first responder in any medical emergency including a diving emergency. 

The SSI React Right Certification is a theory-based course - online and in-person with lots of practical applications in our well stocked classroom.

You have done it before but it is important to stay fresh and prepared  for an emergency with our React Right Reactivate Course!

React Right is SSI’s emergency first response course. It provides you with in-depth first aid training and knowledge to act as a first responder in any medical emergency including a diving emergency. It is recommended you keep your skills fresh every 2 years which is why we have the reactivate course. 

The SSI React Right Reactivation reminds you to relook at the online materials and attend an in-person session with lots of practical applications to refresh your first aid skills in our well stocked classroom.

Try SCR (Semi-Closed Rebreather - 7th & 10th December

Enjoy a new experience diving with fewer bubbles, improved buoyancy, and increased dive time. The Mares Horizon semi-closed rebreather is the perfect companion for avid photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. Get up close and personal with marine life; Try SCR Diving today!

The Saturday session is at the shop learning and trying the equipment followed by a try dive on the Tuesday evening at the pool.

Join us for our last pool session of the year!

Our weekly pool sessions are on Tuesday evenings at Ipswich High School, Woolverstone, Suffolk. IP9 1AZ arriving at 7.15pm, getting in the water for 7.30pm. Join us for a course, or to just get in the water and blow some bubbles, snorkel or even have a swim. Booking is necessary so make sure you contact us to reserve your place. For courses we need at least 1 weeks notice.

The SSI Snorkel Diver program is your first step towards discovering a passion for the underwater world.

With a 90-minute session in confined water and under the guidance of an instructor, it is the best way to learn how to snorkel and develop your confidence in the water, so you can go snorkeling and explore the mesmerizing landscapes and wildlife of the aquatic world.

You do not need to be a proficient swimmer to participate in the Snorkel Diver program, and there is no minimum age to join. You just need to be comfortable in the water, able to maintain your buoyancy, and ready to begin the adventure of a lifetime and receive the SSI Snorkel Diver recognition card!

With the Ipswich Scuba Skills Update, we will get you back in the water and diving with ease in no time. Our scuba refresher course allows you to review and practice the scuba skills you learned in your Open Water Diver program, under the guidance of a Professional. This is a great course to take just before a dive holiday, so you spend less time worrying about your skills and more time admiring the marine life.

If you are a non-certified Open Water Diver student, a Scuba Skills Update is ideal for practicing your dive skills before your open water training dives. With no fixed course duration, you can take your time and focus on the skills you need help with.

Santa Dive Stoney Cove Weekend - 14th & 15th December 2024

Join us for our annual weekend diving for fun or for a course dressed up in a festive theme.

Join us for both days or just for one day and fancy dress is optional but fun is compulsory. Join us for a festive dive before the festive celebrations.

Courses we can offer over this weekend are the Open Water dives of the Open Water Diver, Dry Suit Course, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver and Stress and Rescue or just come join us for some social dives.

Are you ready to dive a bit deeper and explore deeper wrecks, coral-encrusted walls, reefs and more?

Many exciting dive sites lie in deeper waters and our Deep Diving Specialty will teach you how to get down there safely and with confidence. During our course you will learn how to plan and conduct dives from between 18 and 40 meters deep and earn your Deep Diving Specialty certification.

Over our Stoney Cove weekend you’ll learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use of computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives, whilst under the supervision of one of our instructors.
