Scuba Explorer - Tuesday 3 Mar, 7.15 pm - 9 pm
Become an SSI Underwater Scuba Explorer with Ipswich Scuba Today!
The SSI Explorers program allows children from age 8 to go underwater and sample different ways they can explore the aquatic world around them. They will gain a solid foundation in ocean conservation and have the opportunity to experience four main scuba diving adventures.

Open Water Diver - Tuesday 3 Mar, 7.15 pm - 9 pm
This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver.
With our personalised training, combined with theory, confined water and open water practice sessions, we will ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater and you will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

Scuba Skill Update - Tuesday 3 Mar, 7:15 pm - 9 pm
Not dived for a while?
Need to practice your skills before your open water training dives?
It is easy for dive skills to get rusty and to lose confidence when you have not dived for a while. With our SSI Scuba Skills Update, we will get you back in the water and diving with ease in no time.
Our scuba refresher course allows you to review and practice scuba skills you learned in your Open Water Diver program, under the guidance of an SSI Professional in our swimming pool session on a Tuesday evening.
If you are a non-certified Open Water Diver student, a Scuba Skills Update is ideal for practicing your dive skills before your open water training dives.

Enriched Air Nitrox 40% - Saturday 7 Mar, 9.30 am - 1 pm
Do you want to extend your dive time?

Have you ever thought about what it is like to scuba dive?
Our Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving and experience the magical underwater world for the first time. You will be in confined water and well looked after by your instructor, so you can enjoy those first unforgettable breaths underwater and experience the magic of scuba diving. At the end of this 90-minute session, you will have earned our Try Scuba recognition card, which we register with SSI and undoubtedly you will want to go diving again.

Drysuit diving opens up a world of opportunities, including diving remote Arctic destinations and exploring cold-water dive sites teeming with life, especially worthwhile if you want to dive in the UK and wish to join us on one of our exciting UK trips.
Dry suit diving also keeps you warm on multi-dive days when you do not want to spend your time getting in and out of a cold wetsuit.
Our SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty program is the best way to become a dry suit diver and teaches you all the knowledge and techniques you need to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. See our Dry Suit Diver page for more information.
The course consists of some online work, one confined water orientation on the 10th March and 2 open water dives on either the 21st or 22nd March 2026.
React Right - Saturday 14 Mar, 9:30am - 5 pm
Be prepared for an emergency with our React Right Course!
React Right is SSI’s emergency first response course. It provides you with in-depth first aid training and knowledge to act as a first responder in any medical emergency including a diving emergency.
The SSI React Right Certification is a theory-based course - online and in-person with lots of practical applications in our well stocked classroom.

Stoney Cove Weekend - Saturday 21 Mar & Sunday 22nd March, 8.30 am - 3 pm

Deep Diver - Saturday 21 Mar & Sunday 22nd March, 8.30 am - 3 pm
Are you ready to dive a bit deeper and explore deeper wrecks, coral-encrusted walls, reefs and more?
Many exciting dive sites lie in deeper waters and our Deep Diving Specialty will teach you how to get down there safely and with confidence. During our course you will learn how to plan and conduct dives from between 18 and 40 meters deep and earn your Deep Diving Specialty certification.
Over our Stoney Cove weekend you’ll learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use of computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives, whilst under the supervision of one of our instructions.

Snorkel Diver - Tuesday 24 Mar, 7.15 pm - 9 pm
The SSI Snorkel Diver program is your first step towards discovering a passion for the underwater world.
With a 90-minute session in confined water and under the guidance of an instructor, it is the best way to learn how to snorkel and develop your confidence in the water, so you can go snorkeling and explore the mesmerizing landscapes and wildlife of the aquatic world.
You do not need to be a proficient swimmer to participate in the Snorkel Diver program, and there is no minimum age to join. You just need to be comfortable in the water, able to maintain your buoyancy, and ready to begin the adventure of a lifetime and receive the SSI Snorkel Diver recognition card!

Equipment Techniques - Saturday 28 Mar, 9.30 am - 5 pm
Do you have your own kit but wish to know how to look after it?
The SSI Equipment Techniques specialty is the best way to learn how to choose and store your dive kit. Working with an experienced and trained SSI Professional, you will learn in-depth information about the components of your Total Diving System and develop a thorough understanding of your diving equipment.
Join us for a day at the shop where we can show you how to make the most of your equipment and earn the SSI Equipment Techniques Certification.

Stress and Rescue - Tuesday 31 Mar, 7.15 pm - 9 pm
In our SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program, we will teach you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers.
You will learn:
How to identify stress
How to prevent accidents
How to conduct rescues
How to provide emergency care.
Through online learning, and a combination of pool and open water practice sessions, you will become well prepared and confident at handling emergency and rescue situations.

Come and join us for 3-4 days diving the Lochs of Scotland. Travelling up on the Thursday. Diving the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and possibly Monday before coming home.

North Norfolk Dive Days - Saturday 9 May, 7.30 am - 5 pm
Come and Dive the North Norfolk Coast with Us!
If you are a diver who just wants to go diving, then these day trips or all of them are for you!
This is fairly independent in diving. You will need to let Ipswich Scuba know you are coming so we can send out the details of the dive site we intend to go to, timings for the day and where we shall meet for the day. You make your own way there, bring your own equipment (available to hire from Ipswich Scuba), meet up with your dive buddies and go diving.
Farne Islands 9th - Thursday 9 Jul & Monday 13th July, 8.00 am - 7 pm
Join us for one of our favourite trips of the year!
There are lots to see, including plenty of fish such as wrasse, anemones, crabs, lobsters, shrimp and hopefully the seals will come and play too.
